Proven Leadership for Laramie County

Barbara Cabot was born in Laramie County Memorial Hospital. She graduated from Cheyenne East High and has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wyoming. After a 28-year career in environmental permitting and compliance, she retired as Dyno Nobel’s Environmental Manager for North America in 2019. Her experience in permitting large industrial projects, ensuring their compliance with environmental permits, and stewarding their water resources leave her uniquely qualified to meet the challenges that Laramie County faces.
Key Priorities for Laramie County

Responsible Industrial Development
Barbara will ensure that the data centers planned for Laramie County comply with the law, lay out their plans with transparency, listen to voiced concerns, and leave the residents of Laramie County, particularly the ones that are next door to the data centers, with a higher quality of life than they had before the data centers arrived.

Supporting Public Libraries
Barbara believes decisions about the Laramie County Libraries’ collections, resources and community programs belong in the hands of the trained, passionate library professionals—not political interest groups.
